Shanasheel is more than a name — it’s a tribute to Baghdad’s golden age. Inspired by the intricate wooden windows of old palaces, it brings back the warmth of home, the soul of our cuisine, and the beauty of gathering.
At Shanasheel, each space is thoughtfully named and designed to reflect a part of Iraq’s rich cultural and architectural heritage. Samarra Hall draws inspiration from the iconic Spiral Malwiya with tall windows and geometric elegance. Khan Murjan Hall captures the charm of Baghdad’s old caravanserais with its traditional arches and historic atmosphere. AlMasgouf Hall celebrates the legacy of Iraq’s famous grilled fish dish with a rustic, earthy design.
For more intimate gatherings, Shanasheel VIP Hall offers refined privacy framed by traditional shanasheel windows. Meanwhile, Al Janaen Al Moa’laka Hall, named after the legendary Hanging Gardens, opens onto a peaceful garden terrace for a serene indoor-outdoor experience. Completing the journey is our coffee shop, inspired by the domes of Iraq’s grand palaces — a relaxed and inviting space perfect for morning coffee, casual conversations, or a quiet retreat, with shisha available in a dedicated lounge area. Together, these spaces create a setting where heritage meets hospitality in every detail.
